В условиях социально-экономического кризиса демографическая ситуация в любой стране (промышленно развитой, среднеразвитой, аграрной) будет ухудшаться. Даже в аграрных странах, где традиционно высокая рождаемость, в условиях экономического кризиса и социальной нестабильности резко возрастает смертность населения, особенно детская. Голод и сопутствующие эпидемии инфекционных заболеваний вызывают массовую смертность населения и резкий рост социальной напряженности. В свою очередь, по отношению к экономике население является одновременно производителем и потребителем материальных благ и услуг. Такая двусторонняя зависимость обусловливает сложность и противоречивость этих взаимосвязей. В то же время население не может существовать вне экономики, а экономика - без населения.
In conditions of social and economic crisis, the demographic situation in any country (industrialized, medium developed, agrarian) will deteriorate. Even in agrarian countries, where traditionally high birth rates, in times of economic crisis and social instability, the death rate of the population sharply increases, especially children’s. The famine and accompanying epidemics of infectious diseases cause mass mortality of the population and a sharp increase in social tension. In turn, in relation to the economy, the population is both a producer and a consumer of material goods and services. This two-way dependency causes the complexity and inconsistency of these relationships. At the same time, the population can not exist outside the economy, and the economy can not exist without the population.
