Conflict in the student-teacher dyad: the nature and extent of prevalence in modern schools

Abstract

The article demonstrates the conclusions of the author's sociological research conducted in order to identify and assess conflicts in the interaction of teachers and students in modern schools. The results of the survey are interpreted taking into account such indicators as gender, age, material component of the student's family. The analysis identified types of conflicts, given the percentage of places where these conflicts occur. The reaction of schoolchildren to this or that action of the teacher is investigated. The results of indirect experience of students in conflicts of this kind are also presented. Measures for minimization of conflict situations between the teacher and the pupil are offered.
