Sociological analysis of improving the quality of the population life of the region for solving demographic problems
Abstract
The improvement of social security, as well as the quality of life of the population, has a positive impact on improving the demographic situation in the region. Mortality is reduced, average life expectancy is increased, the incidence of people decreases, and the quality of manpower is improved. The fight against alcoholism, maintaining a healthy lifestyle especially mass sports as well as social protection of citizens has a particularly great influence on the population of the region. The highest unemployment rate in the city of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region was observed during the economic crisis of 1998-1999. At this time, the demographic situation in the region is sharply deteriorating. In the article, based on the analysis of statistical data, conclusions are drawn on the effectiveness of the main directions for improving the quality of life of the population of the region, and their impact on the socio-demographic situation
