Compromise in Modern Russian Public Law

Abstract

The article deals with possible aspects of manifestations of compromise in public law. Compromise, based on the analysis of existing legislation and scientific literature, is considered as one of the fundamental principles of law and efficient way to prevent and to resolve conflicts, or, sometimes, agreement that brings about damage to the interests of person, society and state. It is concluded that compromise is an essential structural and substantive element of the modern domestic public law. Compromise should be considered as a complicated category. Legitimacy is a compulsory condition for its validity. The right usage of compromise is likely to be very effective.
