Methodological recommendations on the formation of socio-demographic policy aimed at the economic development of the region (on the example of the city of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region in the 2000s)

Abstract

The demographic situation and economic situation of Saint-Petersburg and the Leningrad region require a comprehensive sociodemographic policy, necessary to ensure economic growth and social development of the region. The author suggests the following methodological recommendations for the improvement of socio-demographic policy, consisting of seven main areas: • methodological recommendations in the field of public health and improving public health; • methodological recommendations for strengthening the family, childhood and youth; • methodological recommendations for improving the education system and the employment of the population; • methodological recommendations on the formation of a socially-comfortable living standard of the population of the region; • methodological recommendations for solving the housing problem in the region; • methodological recommendations for ensuring a moderate migration inflow of the population; • methodological recommendations on poverty reduction.
