Social memory of history teachers: aspect of generation

Abstract

The article is devoted to consideration of features of the social memory of history teachers depending on generational differences. The article deals with the definition of the categories “social memory”, “generation” in sociological tradition and presents examples of studies of differences in attitudes and values among representatives of different generations. On the basis of own research “Social memory of history teachers in the process of transformation of school historical education” the author makes a conclusion about the peculiarities of the social memory of teachers and analyzes the impact of generational aspect to the attitude to the his torical past of history teachers of all ages differences.
