On the activities of destructive youth movements

Abstract

This article offers a comprehensive analysis of youth movements, focusing on their role in social processes and their influence on societal development. Based on historical and comparative analysis, the study identifies key factors shaping the nature and trajectory of youth movements, with particular attention to their manifestations in contemporary Russia. Special attention is paid to destructive youth movements, in particular the Columbine* phenomenon, exploring its causes, mechanisms of spread, and countermeasures. The article provides practical recommendations for improving the state youth policy and the system of preventing destructive behaviors among young people. The article is addressed to a broad audience, including scientists, youth workers, teachers, psychologists, government officials, and the public
